God. Love. Life. Me.

God. Love. Life. Me.
"One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple. For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his tabernacle and set me high upon a rock." Psalm 27:4-5

Delicious Bibles with a side of the holy spirit = Yum!

Fasting.

I don't like it AT ALL, in fact i dread Wednesday mornings because of corporate fast. I wake up and think to myself DANG IT! the hunger, the tastelessness, the  tempting aromas coming from the kitchen is truly just plane annoying, but one thing keeps me coming back and doing it again and again. The Lord. He truly truly reveals something to me every time I've fast. I am TRULY satisfied when i fast. In the bible it talks a lot about "seeking him, his face, his heart...." i don't know why but for some reason i feel like when i fast i am more intimate with God. I feel joy and satisfaction. i can't really explain the feeling in words but you get the point. it's pretty Incredible. I thought about this "seeking" stuff and i realized we as humans are the same way, when we are pursued, engaged, or SEEKED we feel loved and we are more willing to reveal ourselves. hmmmm  :)

"You will seek Me and find Me, when you seek me with all your heart" (Jer 29:13)

"The Lord would speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks with his friend...." (Exodus 33:11)

"Look to the Lord and his strength; Seek his face always" (Psalm 105:4)

What does it mean to live for Christ?

"More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish so that I may gain Christ"
PHILIPPIANS 3:8

Wow! Ohh my gosh, i've been meditating on this lately and WOW! what drove Paul to say this? sorry David and Solomon, i think Paul is my new fav. character of the bible. Wowwwwww.  i have suffered the loss of all things and count them but rubbish so that i may gain christ. Ohhhh man. thats Big! thats real Big! am i willing to say that? would i count all as loss so that i may gain Christ? I say i would but i really don't know. if it's trials that i need to face to gain faith such as this i would totally pray to god for trails.

The Veil

When Jesus died, the veil was torn, and God moved out of that place never again to dwell in a temple made with hands (Acts 17:24). God was through with that temple and its religious system, and the temple and Jerusalem were left “desolate” (destroyed by the Romans) in A.D. 70, just as Jesus prophesied in Luke 13:35. As long as the temple stood, it signified the continuation of the Old Covenant. Hebrews 9:8-9 refers to the age that was passing away as the new covenant was being established (Hebrews 8:13).

OHHHHHHHHHH SNAP!!!!

Worship 24/7

A peculiar thought came to me today as i was studying for my finals. i was reading my study guide and "you won't relent" - Misty Edwards came on my laptop and i kinda felt the chills go down my back. soon my focus went from the study material to the song, i started to worship internally. I thought to my self, what if there is way that worship music could constantly be playing in the background as we live our lives. Think about how pumped up we would be. Rocking out to some "People Get Ready" - Misty Edwards as we walk around or as we work or just chillin. THAT WOULD BE SOOOOO SICK! so i tried to do it today, i listened to my ipod; put on some Leeland, Jesus Culture, Hillsong, S.O.W, ect.... Oddly through out the whole day i was just in a better mood. i was happy, pumped up, and i totally felt the sense of urgency through out the day, which made me be more generous to people. It felt pretty freaking awesome! :)

Core

Last night at core we were blindfolded (again), put in the back of a pick up and taken to the Israel Reckless Abandoned spot where we went star gazing. I was tripping out the first 20mins. I had never seen the sky filled with soo much light by the stars. It was amazing! Lord you never seize to amaze me!
